Astronomy Picture of the Day
This NASA website picks a special picture each day and gets an astronomer to write about it.
Often they are about a special event such a solar eclipse - https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap211205.html
Or a video such as from the ISS of a rocket launch - https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap200401.html
Or whimsical - https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap200401.html.
Perhaps members could be asked to pick a new APOD since the previous meeting. They could either talk about it or read the commentary. If the club has a computer and projector, they just have to search such as APOD DEC. 3, 2017 to get a wonderful video of the moon rising on that date.
The main website https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ gives todays image.
At the bottom just left of Archive, the arrow lets a student go back through the days to pick a suitable image since the last meeting.
It is possible to make APOD the screen saver for a computer.
If a guest speaker is coming to a meeting, it might be possible to find an image related to her/his talk using the search function.
