Peter Dietrich (b. 1959) is a Canadian optics specialist. He was responsible for assembly and testing of the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter High Energy Laser Transmitter, a challenging task given the precise tuning required for lasers to survive and operate in the unfriendly environments of spacecraft launch and deep space.
