Asteroid (3658) Feldman

Named in honour of Paul D. Feldman, professor of physics and astronomy at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, for his numerous contributions in ultraviolet spectroscopy, particularly of the Earth's atmosphere, Venus, the outer planets and comets. His design and supervision of a number of spacecraft instruments have led to many advances in our understanding of physical processes in the solar system. The minor planet also honours Paul A. Feldman, a radioastronomer at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics, Ottawa, who is currently involved in making submillimeter observations of minor planets. JRASC
