The Society's fees will go up beginning 2008 January 1. The increase will be $4 per year for ordinary members and $2.50 per year for youth members.

The new fees, exclusive of any Centre surcharges, are:

  • Ordinary members: $59.00
  • Youth members: $36.75

This increase, which was pre-approved by the membership in 2006, but only put into force now by the National Council, is necessary to offset the loss of non-membership revenue (Handbook and other publication revenue) caused by declining unit sales and loss of US dollar exchange.

Even with this increase a significant deficit is projected for 2008.

The Society's leaders are working on long-term solutions to our financial situation - the results of which should be proposed to the membership at the next annual meeting.
