The Canada and the Stars Committee recently announced the names and categories of the prize winners of the RASC-sponsored astronomical writing competition for IYA2009.

Canada Surpasses Goal of 1,000,000 Galileo Moments!
Canada's astronomical community has surpassed our International Year of Astronomy goal of 1,000,000 Galileo moments with two months left to go in the IYA year. Congratulations to the many RASC members and Centres who have made this historic achievement possible!

EfstonScience Offers IYA Road Trip
EfstonScience, a major sponsor of the 2008 RASC General Assembly, has put together a unique road trip for astronomers to travel to the pitch black skies of Manitoulin Island for a star party weekend from June 19-21.
