Honorary Member: William Bruce

A letter was read from Mr. John Walkden, son-in-law of Mr. Wm. Bruce, 1st. Vice-President of the Society, stating that Mr. Bruce is entirely incapacitated by illness from which he is unlikely to recover in this his 94th year, and requesting that his name be withdrawn from the list of active Members. It was moved by Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr. Hassard, that the withdrawal be accepted with regret, but that in view of the services he had so willingly rendered the Society, Mr. Bruce's name be retained on the list of Honorary Members for the remainder of his life. Carried.

Note: Mr. Bruce died a few weeks later, on 1927 March 7th, in Hamilton. His obituary appeared in JRASC 21, 129.
