Haze covered whole sky at time of observation. During short period of very good seeing (7) canal features seen as diffused lines. Best view of planet so far attained impossible to record all minute detail. T = 1°.

The markings were very indefinite in shape, and only a small fraction of them was seen at any one moment of good seeing. The northern polar cap was very prominent, whereas the southern one was seen with difficulty. The equatorial region near the terminator seemed whitish. T = 7°.
