The Halifax Centre of the RASC is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 56th General Assembly. The year 2015 marks both the Centre's 60th anniversary, and the 40th anniversary of the first GA to be held in Atlantic Canada.
Our theme for 2015 is "Stars by the Sea." We welcome you to the picturesque and historic city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The General Assembly will be held 2015 July 1 to 5, at Saint Mary’s University. The university is very close to the downtown and many of the "must see" sites in Halifax. We are planning a full agenda of events, meetings, talks, and a tour to the new Grand Pré UNESCO World Heritage Site and Fundy tides, while also giving people time to explore and meet new friends.
July in Halifax is a busy time of year. The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo occurs at the same time as the General Assembly, as do a multitude of events. It is our intention to provide all attendees with not only a fun and interesting General Assembly, but to afford them the opportunity to explore and enjoy Halifax and Nova Scotia.
Plan to attend the 2015 General Assembly, and take time to enjoy what Halifax and Nova Scotia have to offer. We look forward to seeing you in Halifax in July 2015.
