Nova Scotia Wilderness Resort seeks staff astronomer for Night Outings and Sky Safaris May – November, 2012 (min. 3 month commitment) Trout Point Lodge (https://www.troutpoint.com) has a position for someone with enthusiasm and knowledge about the night sky.

The staff astronomer will provide night time outings for guests to explain the stars and the importance/context of astronomy. The Lodge is adjacent to the Tobeatic Wilderness Area and has some of North America's darkest night skies. Additional income can be earned by working in other departments, such as waiting, kitchen, housekeeping, and/or reception. Room & board provided. 

 
Staff acommodation includes satellite television, free Canada wide calling and wifi. The position will commence in the first 2 weeks of May, 2012 and last for at least 3 months. The ideal candidate will stay until November 1, 2012.  

Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and willingness to work in a wilderness location required.
