Jupiter 196006130300

Jupiter on 1960 June 12/13 at 23:00-23:10 EDT (03:00-03:10 UT) as sketched by K.R. Brasch. C.M.(1) 284°, C.M.(2) 327°. 8" reflector at 165x. Seeing 2-3. Transparency 3.

Red spot seen, a gray washed out colour similar to S.P. region. Easier seen with the aid of a light blue filter, as outline of spot is more distinct. Shadow + disk of satellite I seen, shadow left disk at 03:19, disk of satellite at 03:29.
