BackgroundThis prize is named after the late Kenneth E. Chilton of the Hamilton Centre (1939-1976). He was active in the Hamilton Centre for over 10 years and received a National Service Award in 1976. The prize is awarded annually to an amateur astronomer resident in Canada, in recognition of a significant piece of astronomical work carried out or published recently. Any member of a Centre may submit nominations for the prize. Nominations should reach National Office by December 31st.
